Nowadays in Ukraine seafarers should be singled out into a separate category. So, on the one hand these persons are extremely legally unprotected because they cannot actually protect their rights due to the fact that they are mostly abroad, and, on the other hand, the practice has shown that the behavior of seafarers in relation to the family is unpredictable. After living with one family for most of their lives, sailors are tempted to leave, leaving their wives and children with nothing.
